Since the last 3 decades, a number of studies have been undertaken on HIV/AIDS, and HIV transmission keeps on occurring in many different socio-cultural and behavioral contexts. Within this framework, this book focuses on socio-cultural and behavioral aspects of HIV/AIDS in one of the risky populations - young adults. This book, therefore, provides a new socio-cultural and behavioral perspectives and discourses on those aspects of the pandemic among young adults *20-29 years of age) in Bahir Dar town, North-Western Ethiopia. It presents the young adults' social contexts in their daily routines of life, socio-cultural meanings of and conceptions about AIDS, the cultural context of sexual practices and young adults' beliefs, behavior and attitudes towards PLHAs and how they are, in turn, perceived by them whenever the adults find themselves in different socio-cultural contexts at places of entertainment in one of the fastest growing towns/cities of the North-Western part of Ethiopia (Horn of Africa).
