El descubrimiento de planetas extrasolares, ha sido un tema de mucha importancia en la astrofísica moderna. La existencia de un sistema planetario alrededor de un pulsar, a su vez, nos provee un laboratorio para poner a prueba nuestro entendimiento de la dinámica gravitacional. La presencia de otras fuerzas diferentes a la gravitacional entre el pulsar y los planetas podrían afectar las órbitas de los mismos. Las fuerzas de marea, la fuerza debida a la presión de radiación del pulsar y la fuerza gravitacional debida a la presencia de los otros planetas son consideradas en el movimiento planetario de este sistema. Este trabajo corresponde a la tesis de maestría en física en astrofísica,del autor, desarrollada en el Departamento de Física del Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez de la Universidad de Puerto Rico.

Profesor investigador del Departamento de Física de la Universidad del Norte en Barranquilla, Colombia. Tiene un pregrado en Física y Matemática de la Universidad del Atlántico en Barranquilla, Maestría en Física en Astrofísica de la UPR y Ph.D. en Ciencias Marinas en Oceanografía Física de la UPR.
