This book discusses two very important issues of chidren in the developing world i.e.,malnutrition and measles. These two conditions carry a high mortality rate even as separate entity. But when these conditions occur in the same child simultaneously, the mortality increases many fold. If the measles is complicated by Pneumonia, gastroenteritis or encephalitis, then the situation is even worse. Keeping in mind the importnce of the topic, we have tried to gauge the situation in the real scenario. These problems are at the priority of the WHO regrding its effforts to reduce the mortality of the children in the developing world. This book will be a little bit guidline to plan the strategies to rduce the malnutrition rates in the children in the developing world. At the same time efforts are needed to improve the vaccination against measles.

About the Author:
Dr. Ameer Ahmad Malik graduated from King Edward Medical College Lahore Pakistan in 1997.He did his fellowship from college of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 2003. Currently working as associate professor of paediatrics at Quaid-i-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur Pakistan. Having about 20 research publications in different journals.
