Arranged by type of fly, this book has chapters on tying techniques alternating with sections on fly patterns. The subjects covered include dry fly fishing, streamer fishing, mayflies, CDC dry flies, wet flies, sedges, Czech nymphs, bead-heads, gold-head nymphs, jigs, nymphs with tungsten heads, nymphs with tungsten thorax, blood worms, buzzers, streamers and fry patterns. It includes hundreds of excellent photographs of all the flies discussed and much on fly-tying materials, and is especially useful as one of the very few books which give detailed descriptions of CDC flies and their tying, and of techniques and patterns for Czech nymphing.
