The present edition of the manual has been divided into four separate parts, viz, Part I - General Bacteriology, Part IT - Immunology and Serology, Part ill - Pathogenic Bacteriology and-Mycology, and Part IV - Virology. Laboratory exercises in virology have been added for the first time in the manual and presented as Part IV. In the present edition, recent.information has been incorporated as far as possible. Seventeen new exercises have been added in Part II and three additional exercises in Part III. The exercises on Rickettsia and Chlamydia have been added for the" first time in Part III. The text portion of most of the exercises has been revised and enlarged.
