About the Author:

Shlomo Aronson trained at the University of California (Berkeley) and at Harvard Universitys Graduate School of Design. He has worked for forty years as a landscape architect in Israel. His work is compiled in Making peace with the land,(Spacemaker Press, Washington DC, 1998) and has received numerous awards, including the Karavan Prize (1998), the Rechter Prize (1990) and the Jerusalem Prize (2000). Aronson represented the State of Israel in the Venice Biennale (1991) and was the recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award (2001) from the University of California (Berkeley).
