Steven F. Hick is an associate professor in the School of Social Work at Carleton University in Ottawa. He is a writer and researcher focusing on the areas of mindfulness, human rights practice, social worker formation, and community development, and is the cofounder of War Child Canada, an organization that educates Canadian youths about war and assists children in war zones. He lives in Ottawa, Ontario. Thomas Bien is a licensed psychologist and lecturer on mindfulness and meditation. He is the author of Mindful Recovery: A Spiritual Path to Healing from Addiction and Mindful Therapy: A Guide for Therapists and Helping Professionals. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Zindel V. Segal is a professor in the departments of psychiatry and psychology at the University of Toronto and head of the Cognitive Behavior Therapy Unit at the Centre for Addition Mental Health. He lives in Toronto, Ontario.
