About the Author:
Marcello Morandini was born in Mantova, Italy in 1940, and attended the Accadeia di Brera in Milan. He began working as a graphic designer at Bompiani in 1962, alongside Umberto Eco. Soon after he opened his own studio and dedicated himself exclusively to design and artistic research. In 1965 he was presented by Gillo Dorfles at the San Paolo Biennial, and in 1968 he had a solo exhibition at the Venice Biennale. He celebrated his first major retrospective in 1972, and participated in 'Documenta VI' in 1977 and 'Urban Documenta' in 1982. Over the years he has had numerous exhibitions in both Italian and European museums.
