About the Author:
Andrés Berger Kiss nació en el pequeño pueblo de Szombathely (lugar del sábado), Hungría en 1927. Su familia de actores del teatro húngaro emigró a Colombia antes de que el Holocausto que destruyó a 14 miembros de su familia paterna acabara con ellos también. Sus padres lo llevaron a Colombia a la edad de cinco años, cuando comenzó estudios elementales en el Ateneo Antioqueño de Medellín para continuar luego en el Liceo Antioqueño de la Universidad de Antioquia. A los 17 años, Berger Kiss emigró solo a los estados Unidos para proseguir con sus estudios. En Houghton College del estado de New York se graduó en Química, pero cambió sus intereses hacia la psicología. En la Universidad de Indiana obtuvo su maestría, y su doctorado en la Universidad de Missouri.

La cosmología de Berger Kiss está tan bien servida por su magnífica habilidad de contar historias, la fluidez de un lenguaje que construye con la velocidad de un huracán que culmina en un climax que merece estar entre los mejores escritores de nuestro tiempo.
