Synopsis: "Now I can retire in peace. Kevin Kelly has written the book I always wanted to write. And he's done to the point of perfection--call it xceptional execution. Even the all-time best title: Do! Ah, Kevin, what a gift!" -- Tom Peters, bestselling co-author of In Search of Excellence
DO! is the culmination of Kevin Kelly's life experiences, client work and keynote insights, highlighting the thinking behind those who live and breathe the "xceptional execution" mindset and approach to business and life.
In DO!, you will hear of the Xceptionalists - entrepreneurs from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Bologna, Italy, from Des Moines, USA, to Galway, Ireland, who run app companies, consultancies, clinics and sprawling technology corporations.
They lead some of the world's most compelling brands and companies, from one to 3,000 employees and a range of revenues from $100k to $130million. Talking with the Xceptionalists, Kevin delves deep into their souls to highlight the entrepreneurial DNA and thinking underpinning their success.
The Xceptionalists lay to rest the myth that a visionary with a carefully prepared business plan will thrive or even survive in the real business world. They show us that even those with zero knowledge and limited capital can go on to dominate a market. And instead of waiting for that "aha" moment of inspiration, the Xceptionalists' own experiences highlight the solution to an existing problem may be your gateway to entrepreneurial success.
Read DO! to discover authentic doers who tackle fear and think for success, offering practical tips and daily rituals to help you achieve the "xceptional execution" of your idea.
From the Author: I have always been fascinated by what makes people and organisations perform at the highest level. Upon initially discovering academic research studies that showed 88% of company breakthroughs were the result of exceptional execution of an ordinary idea, I decided to single-mindedly explore this remarkably simple idea. Why? Because it pointed to something I have believed all my life - success in life belongs to those who do, who execute. But of course it wasn't just a case of doing anything, but rather a matter of executing underpinned by strong self awareness and a deep understanding of the market in which we operate. I have called this "xceptional execution."
