8vo. pp. 423, [1]. 2 illustrations with the text. Bound in dark green publisher’s cloth. Extremities show rubbing and wear. The bottom part of the rear cover is quite stained and discolored. Small tears are visible on the head and tail of the spine. A name and date are penciled on the front free end paper. A few tiny spots of staining are present on p. 62. Interior pages are generally clean. A couple of tiny marginal tears (pp. 5-8) are neatly sealed. Pages 97-98 contain two wood engraved illustrations – "Jay J. Hartman, spirit artist" (with ghost) and "test spirit photograph." Samuel Watson was an American Methodist minister and a believer in spiritualism. Contains chapters on "harmony of religions", "writing mediums", "materialization", "philosophy of spirit control", :Biblical history", "death or transition and what follows."
