Roloff Beny - 18 original signed lithographs from the Aegean Notebook. Published in 1950 in Lethbridge, Canada. Originally issued in two bound book formats, one limited to 300 copies signed by the artist with 20 lithographs. The book was signed, but the lithographs were not. Also issued in a deluxe format limited to 50 copies where each lithograph is signed by the artist. These are from this volume although the text of the book is not present. This is a set of 18 original signed lithographs, from the set numbered 41 of 50 as photographed. This deluxe edition was pulled on heavy Fabriano, Milani paper. They measure around 10" x 9". Each has been partially matted and beautifully protected, assumed to be tipped on the verso with mounting tape. There are only 18 of these present, lacking prints 5 and 18. One has apparently come loose from its mount. The set was purchased in 1999 and came from Weintraub Galleries, on Madison Avenue, New York. They would be shipped domestically as shown.
