Gray marbled endpapers. 219 pp. A fantasy story about a young girl named Sophie who is whisked away from her orphanage by a BFG (Big Friendly Giant) who spends his life blowing happy dreams to children; together they concoct a plan to save the world from nine man-gobbling giants; black, gray and white illustrations by Quentin Blake throughout. The condition of both the book and the slipcase is FINE. SCARCE in this American limited edition, of which there was no corresponding English edition.
