Inscribed by Samuel Green in ink on the front cover. First and final blank leaf are detached, one corner is nicked, closed short tear at the back tail of spine, else very good with light toning. Benjamin Tompson was born in Braintree, Massachusetts in 1640. He graduated from Harvard College in 1662 and is considered to be one of the first native born Anglo-American poets.
