Add to basketSigned Letter. p.p. viii 2 166. Large paper quarto. Illustrated by Jack B. Yeats. Loosely inserted is a most interesting letter from Yeats dated March 28, 1916 to Frank Rutter, art critic of the Sunday Times and founder of the Allied Artists Association in 1908 (Paul Henry was also a founder member). In the letter Yeats confirms he is happy to lend a block of his painting The Barrel Man (also illustrated in life in the West of Ireland). Interestingly it would apper Yeats was not well known to Rutter as he give a thumbhail sketch of his artistic background. Original green printed cloth with similiar D.J.
