About this Item

First edition in sea-green cloth boards, inscribed by the author to a Mrs. C.H. Farman. Gilt titling to front board and spine still vivid. Clean and unmarked save for inscription on title page. This copy is still quite sturdily bound especially for its age besides a modest weakness to the binding between pages 195-200, of little concern if handled with a bit of care. Boards with trivial rubbing and slight bumping at the spine extremities. Pages with even toning commensurate with age. Pages 341-381 are creased minutely toward the top of fore-edge, not at all affecting the text or the pages' turnability. Grant Richards is best known for his eponymous publishing company, responsible for putting such writers as James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, and G.K. Chesterton into print.

Available for pickup at our physical store in lower Manhattan and otherwise shipped 3-5 days of the week within 1-3 days. Priority mail is highly suggested for domestic purchases over $100 and is required for international purchases over that amount. Otherwise media mail is fine and combined shipping is fine as well !
