Add to basketFirst printing stated. Book appears unread; unclipped ($6.95) dust jacket is unfaded with a couple of tiny edge tears. Inscribed on front endpaper in Barber's trademark red ballpoint: "This book is for my dear Sarah Lanier Barber (not for Prim)/ Love Dad (Red Barber)/ Key Biscayne/ March 11, 1971." Sarah Lanier, the author's only child, died in 2005; no idea who Prim was. Barber, perhaps the best-known broadcaster in baseball history, is enshrined in the Hall of Fame of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association, the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and the Florida Sports Hall of Fame. An uncommon title signed, and a unique presentation copy. 271 pages.

Orders usually ship within three business days. I generally pack books in boxes, with padding, and unless they're unusually bulky or heavy -- more than four pounds or so -- I won't ask for additional shipping costs. For domestic media-mail buyers, anyway. Prices for international and even priority shipping can get *insane*.
