Edition limited to 110 numbered copies signed by the author, this copy inscribed by him on the title-page to the collector Thomas Davidson, "For Tom Davidson With Best Wishes Jeremy Reed". Senta Marnau (née Polanyi) was the wife of Alfred Marnau, friend and co-editor of the letters of Oskar Kokoschka. The Enitharmon Press had published "Fred" Marnau's New Poems in 1984; on his death Alan Clodd commissioned from the Tragara Press the printing of Jeremy Reed s Elegy for Alfred Marnau (2000). "You died at the advent of spring, / the storm inside your moonstone-ring / was paintbox-blue and cloudy grey, / colours of an Atlantic bay . . ."
