About this Item

First Edition. Signed presentation copy inscribed by the author, former record executive and producer Lloyd Dunn to Norman Tyre, a noted Hollywood entertainment lawyer, inscribed by the author: “To Norman Tyre - This is my book of ‘happy memories’.mostly! See page 41 for a pleasant incident you may remember! As they say at EMI, ‘All the best’! Lloyd Dunn.” The incident to which Mr. Dunn was referring happened during an early morning flight from Paris to London where Mr. Dunn declined a complimentary glass of champagne, commenting that “Anyone who drinks champagne at nine is a lush.”. To which his flight companion, Mr. Tyre, responded “Anyone who turns down free French champagne is an idiot!” Near fine lightly used copy in a very good dust jacket with some fading to the spine and a few tiny edge nicks. A book of interesting and amusing memoirs and anecdotes from Lloyd Dunn’s long and distinguished career in the music business where he became the top executive at Capitol Records.
