Gift quality first US edition signed by Higginson on dedication page to nobody in particular, just his full name: A. Henry Higgindon. Grey buckram cloth covered boards with gold fox on frt cover and dull but legible gold spine title. Tips and spine ends sharp with light shelf wear color loss at spine foot. This copy originally owned by author, sportsman J. Stanley Reeve with his tasteful armorial bookplate on frt pastedown. Internally the tight, crisp 256pp text is unmarked save for crossed out word on top of the copyright details that can be seen feintly on the foot of the title page on opposite side (see images or ask for them). Original, un-clipped illustrated grey/yellow background dj from the Collins, London edition of the same year shows color loss at tips and spine ends along with light soil on cream background rear panel but displays very well in new mylar.
