First Printing, limited issue, one of an unstated number of copies issued as part of the Powell's Books "Indiespensible" series, housed in a slipcase, with a chapbook containing an interview with the author. Octavo (24.25cm); white paper-covered boards, with titles stamped in black on spine and front cover; dustjacket; publisher's brown cloth glit-stamped slipcase; [vi],[5],6-771,[7]pp, with one color illustration preceding the half-title page. Signed by the author on the title page. One lower board corner gently tapped (though still sharp), else Fine in a very Near Fine dustjacket, unclipped (priced $30.00), with some pinpoint wear to corner tips. Slipcase and accompanying chapbook are Fine. A sharp copy of Tartt's third novel, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2014, and basis for John Crowley's 2019 film adaptation, starring Ansel Elgort and Nicole Kidman. 8249.
