Edition of 100 copies. Cloth, cover- and spine-titles, top edge gilt, large 4to, 37 cm, 21 pp, frontispiece, coloured title vignette, 13 plates (one having a tissue-guard with printed key to figures). Yates Thompson explains in his commentary that while he knows of a number of copies of Cuvelier's work, this is the only illustrated one known to him. A Presentation Copy inscribed and signed on the title-page by Henry Yates Thompson to G.F. Warner (Keeper of Manuscripts at the British Museum). Bookplate of Charles Travis Clay, sometime Librarian of the House of Lords, on front pastedown endpaper. Boards a little fingermarked, otherwise a Very Good copy.
