Erskine Preston Caldwell(1903 1987) was an American novelist and short story writer.His writings about poverty,racismand social problems in his nativeSouthern United States, particularly in his novels 'Tobacco Road'(1932) and'God's Little Acre'(1933) brought him critical acclaim.
