Item description from seller

One Page 33 Line Typed Promotional Letter, On "Frank Sinatra" Stationary, Signed In Ink At Bottom By Frank Sinatra. Information Indicates That Thius I Similar To A Secretarial Signature #29 In The Uacc Reference Study. A Laudatory Endorsement Referring To The Impending Release Of Cottler's Sole Solo Album In 1961, "Around The World In Percussion" On Somerset, And Probably Intended For Publicity Purposes. Called "The Best In The Business" By Frank Sinatra, Cottler Was Considered To Have The Most Reliable Sense Of Rhythm Of All Studio Drummers. "Cottler Started In The Late 1930S Playing With Red Norvo's Band, Then With Larry Clinton, Jimmy Dorsey, Les Brown And Others. In The Late 1940S, He Quit Touring And Settled In Los Angeles, Where He Worked In Radio, Tv, Movies, And Commercial Recordings. The Film Scores And Tv Shows Includes Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, The Milton Berle Show, And The Dinah Shore Show, And Countless Television Ommercials. Billy May And Nelson Riddle Used Cottler As One Of Their Favorite Musicians, Including Most Of Frank Sinatra's Classic Capitol Albums Of The Late 1950S And 1960S. He Also Performed On Virtually All Of Sinatra's Reprise Recordings. Cottler Became Sinatra's Favorite Drummer. Sinatra Hired Him To Play In His Touring Band In 1962, Where Cottler Remained Through All The Touring Ensembles Until His Death In 1989. [The Signature Is Original, And Appears To Me To Be Similar To Other Sinatra Signatures I Have Seen. Most Signatures By Sinatra Are Actualy Secretarial. There Is An Excellent Monograph On The Subject At The Uacc Site On The Internet.] Signatures And Inscriptions With An Actual Personal Connection To Sinatra Are Scarce.
