About this Item
First Edition. #70 of a Numbered and Signed edition Limited to 100 copies.Stiff Pictorial Wrappers. No Pagination [32pp.]. Many illustrations from old photographs. With the exceptions of Major Reno and Captain Benteen, Edward Settle Godfrey is probably the most famous member of the 7th Cavalry to have survived the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Godfrey was active in subsequent reunions of participants and a frequent defender of Custer. The Introduction is by John Carroll. The excellent biography of Godfrey was written by Colonel Charles Francis Bates, and is very interesting. A fine copy. Seller Inventory # 51219
