[signed by Ernest H. Shepard] With Decorations by Ernest H. Shepard. London: Methuen & Co., (1927). Original maroon cloth pictorially decorated in gilt. First Edition of the third of the four famous Milne/Shepard books, and the second to consist of verse. "We have been nearly three years writing this book. We began it when we were very young. and now we are six" [from the Introduction]. This is a fine, bright copy (one bump on the bottom edge of the front board), albeit without dust jacket. Signed on the title page by the illustrator Ernest H. Shepard. NCBEL IV 671.
