The first book is illustrated with drawings in text, and the second book is illustrated with frontispiece. Published by Houghton Mifflin/Harcourt Brace, Boston & New York, 1934/ 1923 . The book is bound in half leather brown, with light brown texture cloth boards. Spine with five raised bands, the titles are in gilt within black labels to compartments two and four. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Front hinge cracked and weak, rear hinge cracked. The American Rhythm IS SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the half-title. No insc. 295pp./155pp. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall.
