Martin Boyce est connu pour son grand travail d'installation dans la sculpture, cr�ant des r�plications angulaires du monde qui l'entoure, trouvant du sens dans l'environnement quotidien et transformant les structures en acier en amplifications de ces moments dans l'espace et le temps. "Tout est question de paysage, je m'int�resse au paysage psychologique, au paysage physique, � l'environnement b�ti, aux choses que nous traversons tous les jours, puis apercevons de temps en temps et voyons peut-�tre quelque chose qui a une r�sonance significative." Une �clipse partielle rassemble des photographies d'une biblioth�que priv�e d'images en cours qui alimente le travail de Boyce. Les images adoptent une palette sombre et sombre, comme si la lumi�re avait �t� vol�e sur chaque photographie cr�ant l'illusion d'un perma-cr�puscule mythique nous permettant de voir le monde tel que Boyce le voit. Des images d'arbres et de feuillage impr�gnent la collection, des ellipses et des perforations se reproduisent, des motifs de fissures, de fractures et de toiles d'araign�es se r�p�tent et des seuils apparaissent sous la forme de fen�tres et de portes. Des centaines de photographies ont �t� �dit�es jusqu'� la forme d'un livre. La s�rie cr�e un sentiment d'immobilit� et de distance entre le spectateur et la photographie. Imprim�es sur du papier recto verso, les photographies se refl�tent floues sur la page couch�e en face de son fr�re mat. Le livre en tant qu'objet prolonge l'exp�rience de la distance � travers sa conception, en gardant les images sombres enferm�es et projet�es entre les plis du papier. N� � Hamilton, Boyce a �tudi� � la Glasgow School of Art et au California Institute for the Arts de Los Angeles. Son travail a �t� largement expos� � travers le monde, y compris des expositions personnelles au Museum f�r Moderne Kunst (Francfort, 2002); Tate Britain (Londres, 2006); le Centre Contemporain (Gen�ve, 2007) et The Modern Institute (Londres 2011).

Jason Burley, an accredited full member of the ABA and of ILAB, has owned his own bookshop continuously since 1984, been a past Chair of the PBFA (London) for over four years and exhibited at the PBFA monthly Russell Hotel antiquarian bookfairs & other specialist bookfairs for over a decade. At Firsts London 2024, the Rare Book Fair Committee selected Jason of Camden Lock books for the Award of Best Display of the four-day event. Jason is also co-founder and co-owner of Burley and Fisher Books LLP. - located between Haggerston and Dalston Kingsland Stations, the bookshop has an events space with a bar where we hold over 100 literary events each year, a basement of second-hand books, and a Risograph Printing department. Our stock of new books includes independent publishers and local authors, with general, collectable second-hand books, as well. Our older, rare books include collectable miniature books, our specialism.
