A near fine, signed collectible limited edition copy of this novel from this National Book Award nominated and Pulitzer Prize winning author. Signed Limited First Edition, First Printing, as designated by statement of limitation ("This signed, limited first edition has been published by special arrangement with Alfred A. Knopf, Inc.") on copyright page and "First Edition" printed on full title page. A near fine, signed limited leather-bound copy. Corners rounded. Gold gilt on front and back covers have small elements of rubbing, small scratches on gilt on page edges. Dark purple/maroon leather with gilt decorative ornamentation on spine and front and back covers. Marbled endpapers and silk ribbon page marker. Author's signature only on limitations page following the endpapers in blue ink. Included is card with information about book and author as issued by the publisher. Shipped in well-padded box.
