40pp. Collection of thirty-nine poems. The author's first published book of poetry. Inscribed in pen by him to K. Julian Bickersteth, "under whose auspices the seed of this book took to earth". Dated July 1944. Publishers' 28th book in The Fortune Poets series. Red cloth covered boards with bright gilt lettering on spine. Cream end papers. Untrimmed fore edge and lower page edges with hint of toning to fore edge. Thread binding indent on margin of p39. Printed by Knole Park Press Ltd, Sevenoaks. Unclipped grey dust jacket with black lettering. Sun toning to spine with black lettering. Shelf wear to top and tail of spine and top corners. The Bookshop at Beech Cottage trades exclusively via the internet. I acquire most of my stock through a network of suppliers based in southern England. My particular interests are illustrated Private Press and modern Poetry. I also have a collection of Prospectuses and similar ephemera.
