First limited edition of Edward Dorn s postmodern long poem Slinger, published by Wingbow Press in 1975: number 23 of only 50 copies signed and dated by Dorn ("Edward Dorn Berkeley 8 dec 1975 23-50"), specially bound by Bay Area artisan binder Cardoza James. Begun in the late 1960s and issued in parts through the early 1970s, this complete 1975 Wingbow Press edition represents the culmination of Dorn s linguistic play and cultural critique: an anti-capitalist road poem filtered through pulp westerns, comic strips, and the psychedelic counterculture.
