Collection of poetry by Don Gordon. SIGNED in full & briefly INSCRIBED by the author in black ink on ffep: "To Harlowe Stengel with the best wishes of Don Gordon. Hollywood, November 1944". The recipient of the author's inscription, Harlow [or Harlowe] Stengel (1901-1980), was a movie cameraman who worked on some classic Hollywood films, including Double Indemnity (in 1944, the year of the author's inscription), Sunset Blvd, The Great Gatsby, & The Loved One. Some pages unopened. Fore-edge & bottom edge untrimmed. Printed in the USA. Bound in original brown buckram boards with gilt lettering to spine, in publisher's unclipped yellow pictorial dustjacket. Slight handling wear, light sun-shading to dustjacket, otherwise a nice clean tight solid hardcover copy. The dustjacket is now protected in a removable clear Bro-dart cover. 95pp. Uncommon title, scarce signed copy with interesting Hollywood connection.
