4to. Pp. unpaginated. Illustrated with black & white rotogravure photo reproductions, drawings and paintings with a few in color. Dark red leatherette, beveled boards, titles stamped in gilt on the spine, red cross in gilt wreath on the cover, blind stamped borders, gilt edges, illustrated endpapers. Edition limited to 300, this copy hand numbered 283. Signed by the authors and Society President Zara Gowrie. In the dark red textured cloth covered drop-back box: spine ends chipped, edges rubbed. No publication date is stated. Society activities into WWII are covered, and Lady Gowrie returned to England in 1945. However, a full-page portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth President of the British Red Cross Society is on verso of the title page with a facsimile manuscript letter from Gowrie opposite, acknowledging the Queen's efforts during the war.
