Limited edition (limitation stated no. 721 signed by publishers) with bookplate of Mr Eli Sowerbutts, F. R. G. S. Portrait frontis and numerous illustrations (some from photographs). First Edition. Bound in crimson fine diagonal ribbed cloth, gilt titling to front cover and spine, green floral endpapers. 24 x 18 cm. Rebacked with original cloth laid down, spine faded, boards a little grubby with a tear to fabric at the top of the front board, gilt remains bright, two leaves loose (limitation and dedication pages), otherwise pages clean and binding strong, very good condition.
