Thin octavo. 9.25" x 6.25". 95pp. OLD WORLD MEETS NEW WEST Sometimes a combination of forces lead to perfection. In this case, Union Pacific's push to create a world class destination Alpine ski resort with European flavor, and a man to match the mountains, an Austrian skier named Andy Hennig. For the first time, the Valley was surveyed and the peaks were mapped out. Hennig was instrumental in exploring the terrain, and his detailed Ski Valley Sun Guide is the earliest skiing guide written for popular use. This copy is nicely inscribed, signed, and dated by Hennig on the title page to one of his students. All edges rubbed with faint wear corners, fine in near fine dust jacket with 2 short closed tears bottom edge and very light edgewear overall, in mylar cover. Seller Inventory # 219676
