This is an original silkscreen print, printed under the artist Josef Albers (1888-1976) supervision; it is not signed as issued by the publisher, but limited edition to 398 unnumbered copies (there was another issue signed & numbered edition of 100); "In 1971 Josef Albers created a set of four original prints for the centennial celebration of the Metropolitan Museum of Art" and this is one of the original prints from the series; silkscreened in blue, gray & black on Mohawk Superfine paper; sheet size: 27x25in. image size; 19 x 17 in.; Printed by Siroccco Screenprints, New Haven, Published by Ives-Sillman, Inc., New Have for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, N.Y. From HOMMAGE TO THE SQUARE; very tiny small gray text at bottom reads:.Josef Albers, Vaiant:MMA-3.in Commemoration of the One Hundredth Anniversary of the Metropolitan Museum of Art"; there is a very faint roll at the bottom but which is natural to the paper; otherwise in EXCELLENT COND.
