Of course I shall not attempt a new book until I feel that I can do so without making a complete fiasco. Luckily I am able to wait forhthat time which I trust will not be too long in coming. Meanwhile I think I shall be able to place somes short stories + magazine articles to keep my name from being forgotten. You have also sympathised with my drawing tendencies so I know you will be glad to hear that I have now joined Caldeson's Art School in St. John's Wood. I shall go there on these alternate days in the week from about 9.30 to 4. On the other days I shall do some reading at the British Museum for which I have obtained the necessary ticket. If it had not been for Geo I don't think I should have had courage to make such a revolution in my life. It is true he did not consuel me to go to the entire animal as I have done, but I felt mine was not the case for half measure. I am only afraid that I may not be able in the future to go beyond or even maintain the standard I have aimed at 'Vice Versa'. So far it has met with an unexpectedly kind reception + reviews are only too apt to follow good fortune of this kind. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine, resulting in a small amount of loss of cloth, and light bumping to the extremities. Minor rubbing to the spine. A few minor marks. Spine is a little faded. Hinges are starting but firm. Bookplate to the front paste down. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound.
