Limited to 310 copies (Berger 27), this being one of 100 with the imprint "London: Faber and Faber; Iowa City: The Stone Wall Press," n.d. (the copyright page says "First published in England in 1969"). Boldly signed by Ezra Pound on the colophon. Errata card laid-in. Slipcase very lightly faded along fore-edge. A tight, unmarred copy of this incredibly rare title. Berger tells of a letter to Daniel Woodward dated July 1971 where Merker said "regardless of the imprints, the Stone Wall Press is not a publisher of Pound's Drafts & Fragments. . because I did a great deal of editing and research to help clean up the text, and also because he is an extremely kind man, [James] Laughlin agreed, after I asked, to allow the Stone Wall Press to appear on the title page. But only for the honor of it, which was all I asked." Merker printed the limited edition (including the present copy) that was to be published by New Directions and Faber & Faber. red cloth, paper spine label, gray slipcase with paper label on front.
