432 p. 23 cm. 5 b&w illustrations by Richard M. Powers. Illustrated softcover is slightly worn and has hole punched in lower front cover. Signed by author on title page. First page slightly soiled and coming loose at bottom, with two small tears in top edge as well. Robert Anson Heinlein (1907 1988) was an American science fiction author often called "the dean of science fiction writers." He was one of the most popular, influential and controversial authors of the genre, setting a high standard for science and engineering plausibility and helping to raise the genre's standards of literary quality.
