From the library of Kim Merker. Laid in is a one-page A.L.s. from Elliott dated 22 Dec. 1978 on personalized stationery to Kim Merker: "Don told us of Con's death a couple of days after it happened. Mary Emma and I mourned for her, for you, for the girls . George.".
