'The Running Foxes' by Joyce Stranger. Book is hardback plus dustjacket. Hammond Hammond and Company Ltd, London, 1965. Hardback with dj. Reprint in same year as first edition. A scarce copy SIGNED by author to front without dedication and scarce thus. Author's first book. Beige Cloth. Condition: The dj is not price clipped. Some rub to edges and to bottom of spine but it is bright and bears lovely cover-art. Nice, bright contents. Not exlib. Illustrated By David Rook (illustrator). Joyce Stranger trained as a biologist, wrote about, and later in life worked with, animals. Her books were intended to show a vanishing way of life and now are becoming collectible. The Running Foxes was her first book. Book is not exlib etc and packed and posted with care.
