Grancher (forme am�ricanis�e de son patronyme Marcel �tienne Grancher) (1897-1976), journaliste et �crivain, fut l auteur de romans truculents ; Le Charcutier de M�chonville, paru en 1942, lui assurera une renomm�e nationale. � la fin des ann�es 1940, il d�couvre la collection de romans policiers "S�rie noire" de Gallimard et se lance dans le polar parodique.
