Single sheet, written on one side. Ernest Walsh was an expatriate American poet and co-eidtor of the experimental magazine "The Quarter" This brief note was wrtten in the early Twenties, after he was released from Camp Kearney, where he had been treated for tuberculosis. The lette is written to the wife of a well known California surgeon. Walsh suggests that the two of them have lunch soon, as he is soon leaving for San Francisco, Mexico and then to Europe. Included is a one-page holograph manusciript by Mrs. Newman, on her stationery, giving a short biography of Walsh. A very uncommon piece. Bookseller Inventory # 001722
