Stamp of the Long Island Historical Society on the title. First edition of the author's first book, a travelogue about his travels in Norway, filled with various charming anecdotes and descriptions of the scenery. Included is an introduction by the author's father, Sir Edwin Arnold, the poet and journalist.Arnold (1857-1935) followed in the footsteps of his father and became a journalist and author. He wrote several novels and works of non-fiction during his career, primarily centered on travel, both real and imagined. His most well-known work is an early science fiction novel entitled Lieut.
