8vo (20.4 x 13.0 cm). Contemporary half calf and marble boards, new spine. Collation: [8], viii, [9]-180 [12- Appendix] pp. + one folding plate with 5 engravings. The spine has been renewed with calf, panels delineated by gilt bars, panels with floral gilt stamp and author and brief title in upper panel in gilt. The text is generally very good with some edge foxing and occasional upper edge staining, all outside text areas. The author provides a short history of on the London brewery followed by his treatise on brewing that covers the different beers that can be brewed from malt.
