A first edition/first printing in DJ warmly inscribed and signed by Kenneth Roberts in 1938 on the front free endpaper. The book is at least very good, with very bright clean boards. It would be a near fine example except one page roughly opened and 8 pages with damp stain at the very top edge. Better than it sounds. The book is nicely signed "Inscribed for Hamilton H. Dyer with the very best wishes of Kenneth Roberts Kennebunk (sp.) Beach, Me, May 7th, 1938". The DJ is Good with mild chipping, soiling and tears. But, it is not price clipped $4.00.
