Contemporary sheep, title gilt-stamped on a black leather spine label; rubbed and abraded, spine label chipped but without loss of lettering. Ex-library, with white-lettered call number at base of spine, bookplate on front pastedown, remnants of a charge pocket at rear pastedown, librarian's ink notation in gutter margin of p. [iii], and accession number rubber-stamped in lower margin of p. [iii]. Shallow tears and chips to front (blank) leaves. A few shallow dog-ears. Some browning and waterstains.
