Joseph Trapp (1679-1747) was a priest of the Church of England, professor of poetry at Oxford, and a pamphleteer for the Tory and High Church cause. 12mo. Vols. II?III of 3. II: Frontis., [1] f., 420 pp. III: Frontis., [1] f., 430 pp., [1] f. ESTC T123800. Contemporary speckled calf; spine gilt extra with red leather labels, gilt-lettered. Rubbed with flaking of leather on corners and edges; corners bumped with some loss of leather. All edges speckled red. Light foxing and browning. Shallow dog ears. Some chipping and tears in the margins. Bookplate on front pastedown of vol. II. Vols. II?III only. Bookseller Inventory # 10641
