About the Author:

Kathy-jo Wargin is the best-selling and award-winning author of such books as The Legend of Sleeping Bear, illustrated by Gijsbert van Frankenhuyzen, and Win One for the Gipper, illustrated by Bruce Langton. She lives in beautiful northern Michigan with her family and two dogs, Lilly and Salmon.

Irena roman's light-filled watercolors have appeared in magazines, books, prints, posters, and calendars. An illustrator since 1980, she has received numerous awards for her work, including the Watercolor West Award from the National Watercolor Society. She lives in Canton, Massachusetts, with her husband, John, who is also an illustrator. This is her first children's book.
