When Jim Hawkins joins the crew of the Hispaniola as a cabin boy, little does he know of the danger that awaits him.
With three red crosses on an old map as their only guide, he and a motley crew set sail for the mysterious Treasure Island. Paired with a snap–in–place model of the pirate ship, this Adventure Classic is perfect for young would–be deckhands. A rough and tumble seafaring saga complete with mutiny, pirates, and a one–legged cook, Treasure Island is one voyage kids will never forget!

Poet and novelist Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was the author of a number of classic books for young readers, including Treasure Island , Kidnapped, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Mr. Stevenson was often ill as a child and spent much of his youth confined to his nursery, where he first began to compose stories even before he could read, and where he was cared for by his nanny, Alison Cunningham, to whom A Child's Garden of Verses is dedicated.
